The New York Times – amerikiečių dienraštis, leidžiamas Niujorke nuo 1851 m.
„The New York Times“ laimėjo 106 Pulicerio premijas, daugiau nei bet kuri kita žiniasklaidos organizacija.[1] Dienraščio tinklalapis yra populiariausias visose Jungtinėse Valstijose, per mėnesį jame apsilanko daugiau kaip 30 mln. unikalių lankytojų.[2]
Spausdintinė versija išlieka didžiausiu didmiesčio dienraščiu bei taip pat trečiu didžiausiu apskritai visose Jungtinėse Valstijose, po „The Wall Street Journal“ ir „USA Today“. „The New York Times“ priklauso „The New York Times Company“ įmonei, kuri taip pat leidžia kitus 18 laikraščių, kaip kad „International Herald Tribune“ ir „The Boston Globe“. Įmonės pirmininkas yra Arthur Ochs Sulzberger jaunesnysis, kurio šeima prižiūrėjo dienraščio leidybą nuo 1896 m.[3]
Laikraščio šūkis, pavaizduotas pirmojo puslapio viršutinėje kairėje pusėje, yra „Visos naujienos, kurias įmanoma sutalpinti ir atspausdinti.“ Laikraštį sudaro keli skyreliai: naujienos, nuomonės, verslas, menai, mokslas, sportas, stilius ir didelis apžvalginis straipsnis. „The New York Times“ išliko leidžiamas 8 skilčių formatu kelis metus, kai tuo tarpu dauguma laikraščių perėjo prie 6 skilčių formato, taipogi tai buvo vienas paskutiniųjų laikraščių, pradėjusių naudoti spalvotą fotografiją.
