Albino tema – tai šachmatų kompozicijos tema, kurioje baltųjų pėstininkas, esantis antrojoje horizontalėje, atlikdamas iš pirminės pozicijos keturis galimus ėjimus: kirtimą į kairę, į dešinę, ėjimą per vieną, per du laukelius, dalyvauja šachmatų uždavinio sprendime.[2]

Albino tema gali būti naudojama kartu su kitomis bei keliose šachmatų uždavinio fazėse.[3]

Jai gimininga yra Pikenini tema. Joje keturiais galimais ėjimais iš pirminės pozicijos žaidime dalyvauja juodųjų pėstininkas, esantis 7-oje horizontalėje.[4]

Temą 1886 m. pasiūlė JAV šachmatų kompozitorius Džozefas Veinraitas (Wainwright, Joseph C. J. ) (1851–1921), patalpinęs savo uždavinį JAV laikraštyje The Wanderer

Uždavinių pavyzdžiai[redaguoti | redaguoti vikitekstą]

Britų [5]šachmatų kompozitoriaus K.D. Morso (Christopher Jeremy Morse 1928–2016) uždavinyje Albino tema panaudota du kartus: iliuziniame žaidime ir sprendinyje su skirtingais Albino pėstininkais.

Olandų šachmatų kompozitoriaus G.H Dreizės (Gerardus Hendrikus Drese, 1902–1980) uždavinyje randame kelias temas: sprendimo fazėje baltieji sukuria grėsmę, kurią juodieji keturiuose variantuose, keturiais ėjimais iš pirminės pozicijos Pikenini pėstininku laikinai atremia, bet baltieji antruoju ėjimu keturiuose variantuose, eidami iš pirminės pozicijos Albino pėstininku, vėl sukuria grėsmes, kurių juodieji nebegali atremti.

Švedu šachmatų kompozitoriaus Jano Knopelio (Jan Heribert Knöppel, 1918–1995) atvirkščio mato uždavinyje pateiktas sudėtingas ir retas keturių juodųjų pėstininko paaukštinimų ir Albino temos apjungimo sumanymas.
