Pirmosios egzoplanetos buvo aptiktos prie pulsarų PSR B1257+12 ir PSR B1620-26. Šie atradimai buvo padaryti 1992 m. ir 1993 m. atitinkamai. Pirmoji planeta atrasta prie pagrindinės sekos žvaigždės 51 Pegasi, buvo atrasta 1995 m.

Sąraše yra pateiktos 456 planetos. Išsamesnis sąrašas, kur pateiktos 494 planetos, žiūrėkite Egzoplanetų enciklopediją.

Planetų masės yra išreikštos Jupiterio masėmis (MJ = 1.8986 × 1027 kg) arba Žemės masėmis (ME = 5.9736 × 1024 kg), o apytiksliai atstumai astronominiais vienetais (1 AU = 1.496 × 108 km, atstumas tarp Žemės ir Saulės) nuo savo žvaigždžių.

Šiuo metu Tarptautinė astronomų sąjunga, nenustačiusi kaip žymėti planetas skriejančias apie kitas žvaigždes ir kol kas nėra plano tokią žymėjimo sistemą sukurti.[1] Visgi dažnai priimtina rašyti mažąją raidę (pradedant nuo "b") po žvaigždės pavadinimo. Pavyzdžiui, 16 Cygni Bb yra pirmoji egzoplaneta atrasta prie žvaigždės 16 Cygni B, kuri yra trinarės sistemos 16 Cygni komponentė.

Viršutinė planetos masės riba yra 13 MJ. Didesnės masės objektai yra laikomi rudosiomis nykštukėmis, nepaisant to kaip jis formavosi ir kur jis randasi. Visgi Egzoplanetų enciklopedijoje (EPE) yra 19 objektų, kurių masės yra tarp 13 to 25 MJ. Jei nepaisytume šių objektų, turėtume 475 egzoplanetas.

Egzoplanetos[taisyti | redaguoti kodą]

Dauguma atrandamų egzoplanetų yra iki 300 šm atstumu nuo Saulės sistemos.

Šiuo metu žinoma 100 planetų, kurios po vieną skrieja apie savo žvaigždę ir 26 egzoplanetos, kurios yra 9 daugianarėse planetinėse sistemose (3 su dviem planetom, 3 su trim, 1 su keturiom, 1 su penkiom[2], ir 1 su šešiom).

Planetų duomenų lentelė[taisyti | redaguoti kodą]

Planetos, esančios daugianarėse planetinėse sistemose pažymėtos geltonai, aplink glaudžią dvinarę žvaigždę skriejančios planetos - žaliai, skriejančios apie B subnykštukes - rožine spalva, o aplink rudąsias nykštukes - oranžine.

Egzoplanetos kandidatės[taisyti | redaguoti kodą]

Yra žinoma 330 objektų, kurie gali būti egzoplanetos. Didžioji šių objektų dalis buvo aptikta naudojant radialinių greičių metodą, taigi jų spinduliai nėra žinomi. Tai leidžia manyti, kad kai kurie iš šių objektų gali būti rudosios nykštukės ar net silpnos raudonosios nykštukės.

Šiuo metu žinoma 240 planetų kandidačių skriejančių apie žvaigždę po vieną ir 90 tokių planetų, esančių 37 daugianarėse planetinėse sistemose (25 su dviem planetom, 9 su trim, 1 su keturiom, ir 2 su penkiom[2]). Kol aptikimo būdai dar nėra gerai išvystyti, norint aptikti mažų masių planetas, šios žvaigždės gali turėti mažesnių planetų, kurios yra žemiau dar aptinkamų planetų masės ribos, arba kurios yra toli nuo savo žvaigždės.

Išrikiuota pagal didėjančią pagrindinės žvaigždės rektascensiją. Planetos, esančios vienos sistemos viduje išrikiuotos pagal didėjantį orbitinį periodą. Pastarosios planetos žymimos geltonai, apie glaudžias dvinares skriejančios - žaliai, skriejančios aplink B subnykštukes - rožine spalva, o aplink rudąsias nykštukes - oranžine.
