Clarification needed[redaguoti vikitekstą]

Hmm, what exactly is this article about? Interwiki links lead to different articles (not describing the same thing obviously). The image currently used shows a reaper, so does Kertamoji mean reaper then? --:bdk: 01:58, 16 spalio 2011 (EEST)[atsakyti]

Just short story about a reaper. What do you mean, not describing the same thing? In different languages is written in different way. Felicilijonas 02:31, 16 spalio 2011 (EEST)[atsakyti]
Thanks for your quick reply and verification. The problem is that the articles currently connected by interwiki links describe different things – mowers (for cutting grass), reapers (for reaping grain crops), harvesting machinery in general or so (rather unclear eswiki and cawiki articles, that use images of a windrower/swather and a combine harvester), etc. …. I'll try to fix that. --:bdk: 18:10, 16 spalio 2011 (EEST)[atsakyti]

The same as an English aritcle: machine that reaps (cuts and gathers) crops at harvest, when they are ripe. Hugo.arg 18:50, 16 spalio 2011 (EEST)[atsakyti]

Late reply: Thanks again.
Now I see there's a request to merge Kertamoji and Javapjovė. From what I can see (used image, interwiki links), Javapjovė means grass mower (or, more general, "mowing machine"), so it wouldn't make sense to merge these two articles, because they are different machines, even if they might look similar. A reaper is used and especially constructed for grain harvest, while a mower is used for cutting grass (and herbs, usually as fodder for animals). --:bdk: 17:04, 30 sausio 2012 (EET)[atsakyti]

Once I tryed to made clarification here [1]. I'm not an expert on these machines but javapjovė isn't a mower. Hugo.arg 17:09, 30 sausio 2012 (EET)[atsakyti]

Ah, thanks. I didn't notice your last reply on your talk page (dunno why I forgot to check it, back then). Anyway, I'll have a second look … --:bdk: 01:33, 31 sausio 2012 (EET)[atsakyti]
Ok, so merging really seems to make sense :-) I can't help with the decision (if and how article A could be merged with B, or the other way around) though. Your Javapjovė article's text is correct, I assume, just the interwiki links to en:Mower etc. and the image should be removed. Larsson's painting clearly shows a horse-drawn finger-bar mower while cutting grass (compare this typical photo and this illustration), not any type of reaping machine. I hope this helps --:bdk: 02:30, 31 sausio 2012 (EET)[atsakyti]
