Aptarimas:Evelina Sašenko
Ewelina Saszenko (or Evelina Sašenko) is Pole, who's living in Vilnius Region. She's got the lithuanian name and polish name too. I can't understand why Lithuanians must persecute the polish minority group. Lithuanians in Poland have got all basic right of minority group. Even one comunity, gmina Puńsk (Punsko valsčius), is bilingual. Poles in Lithuania can't learn polish because polish schools are closed by lithuanian rulers. There is more polish schools in East Vilnius country than Lithuanian and they get more funding from Lithuanian government so please no Polish propaganda there. Also, about Sašenko, her official name is Evelina Sašenko, she in all media called Evelina Sašenko and only polish media called her Ewelina Saszenko. - Nobody do not hate Poles. Just Poles look at everything too much dramatic and emotionally. They always found persecute in everywhere. - First of all, I can't read polish. Second, sooo? Nobody denied that Sašenko have some polish roots, discussion is about her name. And you clearly can see at the same website English version: "This is me, Evelina Sašenko. Assemble me from the pieces of life." that her name is Evelina Sašenko. And yes, you can see in Polish version "Taka jestem. Ja, Ewelina Saszenko. Ułożcie mnie z podanych tu skrawków mego życiorysu.", but the same situation with changed name is in french version:"Voilà comment je suis,Évelyne Sachenko.Chaque épisode de ma vie est très impor-tante, ils font mon portrait." and its doesn't mean that we now should add french version too. - Calm down, calm down. First of all, may I ask you to consider using something like "Could you, please, add [...]" instead of "We must write [...]"? After all, someone who can read and write Lithuanian will have to do this and some additional politeness will only help the motivation...
- Second, while there is nothing wrong with writing that she is a Pole by ethnicity, the article is written in the way that does not provide any obvious place for such statement... It simply lists the main musical achievements... However, the singer's web page (as provided with the edit [1]) does note the ethnicity while saying that during "Dainų dainelė" she sang some songs in Polish. We could also note it, but, unfortunately, that web page seems to be somewhat ambiguous: it is not entirely clear if that only happened while she participated for the first time, or did she also sing in Polish later... Also, it would be nice to have some independent source that would mention that - to prove that "Dainų dainelė" is not given undue weight... Maybe some Polish newspaper (hopefully, accessible via the Internet) took note..?
