A — ветвь с мужскими и женскими шишками; B — молодая женская шишка; C — ветвь со зрелой шишкой; 1 — мужская шишка; 2 — микроспорофиллы с микроспорангиями (пыльцевыми мешками) мужской шишки, вид снизу и со стороны; 3 — открытые микроспорангии; 4 — пыльцевое зерно, видны два воздушных мешка; 5 — семенная чешуя, вид со внутренней и внешней сторон; 5a — кроющая чешуя; 6 — семенная чешуя с двумя семенами, вид с разных сторон; 7 — семя с крылом и без него; 8 — семя в продольном разрезе; 9 — лист и его поперечный срез; 10 — смоляной канал (смоляной ход) a в коре растения вида Picea excelsa, с выстилающими клетками (эпителием) b и клетками паренхимы c с зернами крахмала.
