The Phantom Agony – debiutinis studijinis Nyderlandų simfoninio metalo grupės Epica albumas. Jame yra trys singlai – „Cry for the Moon“, „Feint“ ir „The Phantom Agony“. Dalis kūrinių turi prierašą The Embrace That Smothers – tai Marko Janseno prieš organizuotą religiją (krikščionybę ir islamą) nukreiptų kūrinių serija (ją pradėjo savo buvusios grupės After Forever albume „Prison of Desire“).
